Dubai Municipality, represented by the GIS Center, participated in the “Connected Construction Conference Middle East 2024” which focused on discussing the latest innovations in the field of digital twins. The event was organized by Trimble, a leading company in software, hardware, and service technology. Marthad Al Ameen, a representative of the center, gave a presentation titled "BIM to Digital Twin". In his presentation, he explored the evolution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies towards the concept of digital twins, highlighting their role in enhancing project efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing sustainability in line with Dubai’s vision for developing smart and sustainable cities.
Through this participation, the center reaffirmed its commitment to adopting and advancing cutting-edge technological solutions to support the construction and engineering sector in the Middle East, in addition to enhancing opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration with global partners to promote best practices in this field.
