The GISCD at Dubai Municipality has completed the implementation of the digital twin project for the Dubai Festival City area. They created and designed 3D model of the area, including details of interior and exterior buildings, base map details, service networks, Aerial images, and land topography models. Global standards were utilized in creating the digital twin, such as CityGML standards for buildings, AutoCAD standards for buildings, and BIM.
The Digital Twin represents 3D digital version of Dubai, containing maps and information for all facilities, landmarks, infrastructure, and government assets, from master plans to internal details of buildings, including features like roads, trees, green spaces, service lines, and even details of residential units, with real-time information updates.
