As part of enhancing cooperation and developing the use of modern technologies to support civil defense in the Emirate of Dubai, the GISC conducted a field visit to the General Directorate of Civil Defense. This visit aimed to highlight the geospatial projects of the center, with one of the center’s most important project the Dubai Digital Twin.
The Dubai Digital Twin project represents a digital replica of the city of Dubai in the form of 2D and 3D maps containing all assets, landmarks, and facilities.
The visit included a workshop that discussed the importance of the project and how to apply technology to enhance the efficiency of management and emergency response to incidents more effectively, as well as discussions on future collaboration between the two entities.
