In line with the goals of "My Community .. A Place for Everyone" initiative launched by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, to transform Dubai into a friendly city for people of determination by 2020, and in accordance with Dubai Plan 2021 which aims to make Dubai an inclusive and unified society that embraces human values, the GIS Center of Dubai Municipality has implemented new features that support People of Determination in the geographic addressing system “Makani", which was developed as a complement to the official addressing system adopted by Dubai. Therefore, People of Determination can easily navigate through the city. The new features are changing the colors, according to the criteria of People of Determination, Changing the text size, Converting texts to audible sound, and a speed alert feature.
