The GISCD welcomed a Russian delegation from the federal service for state registration, Cadaster and Cartograph (Rosreetr’s) to enhance cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of GIS. Eng. Maitha Al-Nuaimi, the director of GISCD welcomed the visiting delegation along with several managers and experts from the Buildings Regulation and Permits Agency. In her speech, Al-Nuaimi emphasized the vital role played by the center in advancing geographic technologies in Dubai, highlighting key projects and achievements, including the Dubai Digital Twin project and the Dubai Horizons project. She also praised the significant role played by the Agency in supporting these geospatial projects. Oleg Skufinskiy, the General Director of Rosreestr, expressed their satisfaction with the visit and praised the center's achievements and innovative initiatives that contribute to shaping the city's future. The visit included discussions on best practices in geographic data management, their application in urban planning, and the use of advanced technologies to enhance services. At the end of the meeting, the Geographic Information Systems Center and Rosreestr discussed future cooperation opportunities and knowledge exchange programs aimed at developing the field of GIS and leveraging from the expertise of both parties.​​​​​
