As part of the International Youth Day activities, the Youth Council in Dubai Municipality, in cooperation with the GIS Youth team organized a panel session titled: "Exploring the Future in GIS", where the GIS team presented the most important geospatial services that are provided to individuals, companies, government and semi-governmental entities. During the session topics related to large geospatial data and the most prominent developments and challenges in GIS were discussed such as: data quality, integration of new technologies and keeping pace with change. Moreover, the challenges of climate change were also discussed. The session aimed to empower youth to participate in shaping the future and express their aspirations and suggestions that would enrich and provide Dubai Municipality with unique and distinctive initiatives that enable it to achieve its pioneering plans and strategic objective in building a happy and sustainable city.
