The GISC Department in Dubai Municipality participated in the 2nd Annual Digital Twin Conference 2023, which was held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
The conference discussed the most important topics in the field of digital technology, such as the role of metaverse in building and construction, the importance of having a strong and rapid framework to manage data and its impact on projects. The conference also addressed industry progress, future vision, in addition to the challenges faced in the region.
The center's team presented the Dubai Digital Twin project, which represents a digital replica of the city of Dubai in the form of 2D & 3D maps containing all assets, landmarks and facilities. The GISC team emphasized on the importance of creating digital twins, as it is becoming widely adopted for it’s great impact and benefits in designing and managing smart city projects all over the world.
