The GIS Center Department, represented by Eng. Maitha Al Nuaimi, Acting Director of GIS Center Department, participated in a session on application development and cloud transformation, along with a number of ICT leaders from around the world to discuss pioneering solutions for developing traditional applications and cloud-native and ways to expand and manage them through data center & cloud environments. During the session, Al-Nuaimi presented the methods followed by the Center to develop the skills of employees by training programs and development workshops that are organized periodically for all employees, and how organizations can move towards innovation using a hybrid cloud model such as projects and geospatial systems adopted by the Center in this field. Eng. Maitha has discussed the increased operational efficiency and professional capabilities in the field of cloud application development and technical challenges, in addition to the working methods and mechanisms for projects and geospatial solutions since COVID-19, and how the cloud contributed to increasing flexibility in work.
