Dubai Municipality and DCAA launched Dubai Horizons’ project

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), chaired a virtual meeting with Dubai Municipality, in which H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Ahli, Director General of DCAA, a number of executive managers and H.E. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of the Municipality participated. During the meeting, they launched Dubai Horizons' project, which was presented by Eng. Maryam Al Muhairi, Director of the Geographic Information System's Centre in Dubai Municipality. The abovementioned project includes planning for corridors, airports locations and landing sites for drones in alignment with Dubai's Future Plans. In addition, it aims to support Dubai's future plans for air mobility and to provide new services in air freight, logistics, and aerial scanning. Furthermore, the project contributes to maintaining the aviation security and safety, as well as to organizing drones' operations and their use in compliance to the best international standards and practices, and in making Dubai a center for innovation in the air mobility field, as well as for creating a conducive environment for investment in this important sector. ​
