Dubai Municipality, represented by the Geographic Information Systems Center (GIS) seeks to continuously update the Dubai Basemap as this map has an important role in planning and development in the Emirate of Dubai. The GIS Center in Dubai Municipality updates Dubai Basemap periodically and regularly, by conducting an Ortho survey to obtain Ortho photos of various sizes and accuracy of up to 10 cm, aiming to obtain updated geospatial data. The project also aims to collect geospatial data for government assets, such as: Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and others.
