Dubai Municipality represented by the GIS Center has signed a service level agreement with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The agreement aimed to increase cooperation between the two parties in the field of geospatial infrastructure; in order to work on providing a comprehensive, unified and updated basemap for Dubai, to be used as an effective tool for planning and designing and for managing development projects, in addition to determine the quality of services that each party is committed to. The agreement was signed by Eng. Mariam Al-Muhairi, Director of the GIS Center, and Mr. Mohammed Alawadhi Director of Information Technology at RTA​​
