Under the initiative of the Car Free Day , a group of GIS employees accompanied by the Director of the Department Eng. Mariam Al Muhairi used the ferry to reach the Dubai Municipality Headquarters on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Two distinguished employees of the Department, Eng. Mohammed Al Mustafa and Eng. Lala walked from Sharjah to Dubai Municipality, which took them about 3 hours to reach there. The rest of the staff also used the metro as a mass transportation, and some walked from points close to Dubai Municipality headquarters.
