Dubai Municipality, represented by the GIS Center, participated in the Esri Senior Executive Summit, which was held on December 11, 2019. The summit aims to provide an opportunity for Esri partners to exchange experiences and review their most important strategies and geospatial success stories. Different entities and companies from the Middle East and Africa region participated in the event, and showcased presentations of their most prominent achievements. In addition to that, a dialogue session chaired by Mr. Jacques Dangermond - Founder and President of the Institute of Environmental Systems Research, United States of America – took place in order to discuss the challenges and difficulties that are faced by institutions, especially with regard to GIS applications. Engineer Maryam Al Muhairi, Director of the Municipality's GIS Center, presented the center's latest initiatives, such as the GeoDubai initiative GeoBIM Prototype and GeoAI. Moreover, she praised Esri's continuous efforts and cooperation with the GIS Center in developing geospatial services and businesses.Finally, the Center's future plans to establish the road map for the Geospatial Autonomous Car were also discussed.
