The GIS Center Management is currently working on developing an integrated 3D model of buildings in Dubai as part of the Digital Twin initiative. This project requires building a centralized database for all geographical landmarks in 3D format. The geospatial data includes various engineering data, such as residential unit data and shared spaces like fixed and moving staircases and elevators, which have been extracted from CAD planning drawings. The project also involves modeling all internal corridor on each floor of the building and adding indoor navigation routes for each floor. These routes will be displayed in a spatial application for geographic addressing, enabling users to easily locate and access units within buildings. access units within buildings.
