The GISCD in Dubai Municipality welcomed a delegation from Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Islamic Institute, which included 35 students, on Wednesday, 10/5/2023. This visit comes within the framework of the center's concerns to increase geospatial awareness and knowledge among students in all educational institutions. The team has introduced the center's role and its most prominent services and initiatives, in addition to highlighting the best practices in the GIS field and the latest developments in AI and remote sensing projects such as monitoring urban change, building violations, identifying and classifying green spaces, and explain their contribution in supporting archaeological excavations. The team has also explained the method of applying AI to aerial imagery, machine learning and deep learning, in addition to providing an overview about Makani Smart Addressing System for Indoor Units in Dubai.
