The GIS Center Department in cooperation with the National Program for Artificial Intelligence, participated in the UAE AI Camp 2022. The center welcomed a number of school and university students from different age groups who participated in the 4th cycle of the summer camp to learn about UAE National strategy for artificial intelligence and how the GIS Center applies this technology in its various projects. This camp provides many activities that contribute to unleashing the energies and capabilities of youth in the fields of AI, future skills, and advanced technology. The visit included an introductory tour in the geospatial experiments area to discover the most important services and projects implemented by the center, including the Dubai Digital Twin Project, Aerial Photos of Dubai, and Makani For Unites Project. The students have also been introduced to the Geospatial Business and Innovation Incubator (GeoHub), and briefed on how the Center applies artificial intelligence on aerial and artificial imageries to extract geospatial data, the students were provided with examples of practical and technical steps that are implemented on various projects.​​
