Dubai Municipality has signed an agreement with Esri company that specializes in geospatial software, in order to provide technical consultation, software and training in the field of geospatial information systems and digital maps for all government entities in Dubai. The GIS Center provides through this agreement, which extends until mid-2023, all the support needed for 45 government entities in Dubai and provides the needed infrastructure fields to create, update and exchange digital maps required by these entities to carry out their work and provide services related to city planning, lands, constructions and real estate. As well as the completion of development projects, roads, transportation, environment and public safety.
The signed agreement provides Esri’s software to all government entities with an advantage of reducing the software cost, providing maintenance, updates, training, and technical consultation. In addition, it also provides free software to government universities and schools.
