The GIS Center was honored by HE Eng. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, in the Pioneering Awards Ceremony for 2021. Al Hajri honored the employees led by Eng. Maryam Almheiri for their participation in executing the distinguished geospatial projects that upgraded the geospatial system and strengthened the emirate's leadership in this direction. The ceremony also included the sports awards distribution to the center's employees who participated in the Desert Warrior Challenge for achieving 1st place and the women's team who participated in the Government Games for achieving 3rd place.
