The author Salah Al-Din Taheri presented the GIS Center with a version of his book “The Meanings of Dubai Regions Names​ and the Reasons Behind Its naming"​, as an appreciation to the center for providing an updated map of Dubai​ regions names​, which is marked as a beginning in his authoring journey. GIS Center​​ always supports ambitious people in GIS and other related fields.​​​
