As part of the efforts of the GIS Center in Dubai Municipality to spread positive energy among employees, and in the context of supporting initiatives that encourage preserving the desert and mountainous environments and enjoying nature, the center has launched an initiative called “Nature Day". This initiative included organizing a land trip for the centers' employees in order to spread positivity, love and familiarity among them and their children. Educational and entertaining activities and competitions were organized. These competitions included natural resource skills test competition , which involved setting fire, filtering turbid water and preparing tools from nature for food preparation .Other competitions included the ability to identify positions using maps, compass and directions calculation. Prizes were distributed to the winners, which left a great impact on them, and made them want to repeat the experience in the coming years.
