Dubai Municipality, represented by the GISC Department received the “Smart Data Champion” Award at the annual ceremony of the Smart Data Summit Plus & Awards 2022, for Using AI and Remote Sensing for Dubai Sustainability Project. The project aims to make the most of geospatial artificial intelligence technology in the inspections of building violations and buildings that were carried out without a building license, where logarithms are developed to compare between approved and aerial building plans and satellite images of existing buildings and then identify the differences, which helps the inspection teams In the Construction Activities Control Department, to pre-identify potential violations, which enhances inspections and reduces random inspection efforts for building violations.
